Server Rules

01 General Conduct

1.1

Respect all players. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or targeted toxicity toward any player will result in a permanent ban. This applies in-game, in Discord, and in any Ghostline-affiliated space. Permanent Ban

1.2

No real-world politics or religion as part of RP or OOC discussion in public channels. These topics cause unnecessary conflict and are off-limits. Warn → Ban

1.3

Maintain roleplay at all times. You are your character while in the city. Breaking character without a valid reason (admin sit, emergency) is against server rules. Warn

1.4

Age requirement: 16+. If there is reasonable suspicion a player is under 16, staff may request verification or take action. Mature RP themes require responsible participants.

02 Roleplay Standards

2.1

Value your life (VDM/FearRP). Act as a real person would. If you are outnumbered, outgunned, or have a weapon pointed at you — you must comply. Exceptions require strong in-character justification. Warn → Ban

2.2

No Metagaming. Using information your character doesn't know (Discord, streams, outside chat) to gain in-game advantage is strictly prohibited. Temp Ban

2.3

No Powergaming. Do not force scenarios onto other players without their ability to respond. Do not use mechanics to give yourself impossible advantages. Warn → Ban

2.4

New Life Rule (NLR). If you die, your character forgets everything leading to that death. Do not return to the same area or engage the same players for 15 minutes. Warn

2.5

Character consistency. Your character must be consistent in name, appearance, and backstory. Do not change characters to avoid situations or consequences.

03 Combat Rules

3.1

Initiation required. You must clearly initiate before engaging in any hostile action. Drive-bys, ambushes, or unprompted violence without valid RP context is RDM. Temp Ban

3.2

No RDM (Random Deathmatch). Killing a player without valid RP reason is one of the most serious offenses on the server. Temp-Perm Ban

3.3

No VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch). Using a vehicle as a weapon against players without RP justification is prohibited. Temp Ban

3.4

Combat logging. Disconnecting during an active RP scenario (robbery, police chase, gunfight) to avoid consequences will result in a ban. Crashes must be reported immediately via Discord. Temp Ban

04 Vehicles

4.1

Realistic driving expected. Driving at unrealistic speeds through populated areas, constant off-roading in supercars, or ignoring traffic entirely with no RP justification breaks immersion. Warn

4.2

No vehicle abuse. Using vehicles to grief, block roads, or trap players is prohibited. Police may PIT maneuver in justified pursuits only.

4.3

Modded vehicles. Only approved vehicle packs may be used. Unlisted mods or texture packs that provide gameplay advantages are not permitted. Ban

05 Factions & Gangs

5.1

Official factions require staff approval. Starting an unsanctioned criminal organization is permitted, but becoming a recognized faction requires an application and review.

5.2

Faction wars must be RP-initiated. Random gang wars with no underlying story or escalation are not permitted. Conflict must be earned through in-character events. Faction Suspension

5.3

Police conduct. Law enforcement players are held to a higher standard. Abuse of police powers, corruption without RP context, or treating every encounter as a shoot-first situation is not tolerated. Removal from Faction

06 Staff & Reports

6.1

Do not argue with staff during a sit. If you disagree with a decision, submit a formal appeal via Discord after the fact. Arguing in-game escalates your punishment.

6.2

Report responsibly. False or malicious reports waste staff time. Repeated abuse of the report system results in removal of reporting privileges. Warn

6.3

All staff decisions are final until formally appealed. Do not attempt to re-engage the same staff member repeatedly about a closed case.

07 Cheating & Exploits

7.1

Zero tolerance for cheats. Any form of modified client, cheat menu, or trainer is an immediate permanent ban. No exceptions. No appeals. Permanent Ban

7.2

Report bugs, don't exploit them. Exploiting glitches for money, items, or advantage is treated the same as cheating. Reporting bugs is rewarded. Temp-Perm Ban

08 OOC & Discord

8.1

Keep OOC (out-of-character) to designated channels. Using /ooc in the city is for emergencies only (game crash, unexpected disconnect). Don't use it to complain mid-RP. Warn

8.2

Discord conduct mirrors in-game rules. What gets you banned in-game gets you banned in Discord. The community extends beyond the server.

8.3

No advertising. Do not advertise other servers, communities, or services in any Ghostline space. Instant ban. Permanent Ban
